Dr. Stephen Akintayo’s Controversy

Dr. Stephen claimed that during the 2015 election, former president Goodluck Jonathan ordered the DSS to pursue him for providing information services to a client, the Buhari Campaign Organization, which distributed over 3 million emails that went viral and gave Buhari a chance to win.

Additionally, Stephen expressed interest in purchasing Nairaland (a well-known forum in Nigeria) for N100 million on his Twitter profile in April 2020. However, Nigerians responded to this interest by claiming the site was worth more than that.

Below are some of the reactions to his tweet:

@AugustFlare100m Naira? I am quite sure Nairaland makes more than that on a good year. I could also vaguely remember the owner saying he can only sell Nairaland for about N20 billion, and this was about 8 years ago

@ay_conrex “Seems you guys do not do your homework about osewa and his family. Whey should he collect noting less than 20bn for nairaland. 100m is what his family makes in 3 months

@theonlysol_ “Y’all be like feeling like Elon Musk low-key… 100M for Nairaland? Jokers… Low-budget Musks
