HeartBreak And Mixed Reaction in RCCG Jesus House Parish, As Soun Of Ogbomosho Steps Down As Pastor.

The newly appointed Soun Of Ogbomosho, Pastor Ghandi Laoye, has been requested to leave his position by the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, so that he can concentrate on his new task.

The Soun-elect was the Pastor-in-Charge of RCCG Jesus House Parish in Washington, DC, whose letter was accepted by Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State.

Laoye has been enthroned in place of Oba Jimoh Oyewumi, Ajagungbade III, who passed away in December 2021 at the age of 95 after ruling for 48 years.

Alongside his successor in the parish, Pastor Olumide Ogunjuyigbe, Ghandi Laoye received anointing from his co-pastors during his final service as the senior pastor of the church.

Speaking after the prayer and anointing session, the Monarch said that Pastor Adeboye, instructed him to hand over to Ogunjuyigbe so that he may concentrate on his new task,

The RCCG Jesus House Parish, on its Facebook page, said;

“Pastor Ghandi passed on the baton of leadership to Pastor Olumide. Congratulations on this new journey, Pastor Olumide.

We know that the eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man what God will do through you! As God was with Pastor Ghandi, so shall He be with you.

“Thank you so much Pastor G for your excellent leadership over the years. As you transition into this next phase of your illustrious life, we celebrate you, we congratulate you.

We pray that your life will go from glory to glory, from strength to strength. We promise to continue the great legacy you have left behind. Amen.”

So, the Soun Of Ogbomosho will probably now be more of a church elder than an officiating minister.
