Gunmen Fatally Shoot Pastor’s Wife. Suspected hired assassins have invaded God’s Vineyard of Grace Dominion Assembly, located at Upper Lawani Street, New Benin, Edo State, Nigeria, killing the Pastor’s wife, Mrs Peace Chinyereugo.
The incident, which has been confirmed by the Edo State Police Command, happened on the 14th of August, 2023.
According to reports, the gunmen, trailed the Pastor, Reverend Dr Samuel Chinyereugo, and his wife, to the church before opening fire on them in front of the church.
Reports gathered that the pastor and his assistant sustained bullet injuries during the attack.
It was learnt that the trio were rushed to the hospital but the pastor’s wife was later confirmed dead by the doctor.
According to a source, “Some members of the church, including the assistant pastor, were outside the church having a rehearsal ahead of a programme scheduled to commence that day when the pastor and his wife stopped by,”
“The cleric said that he had earlier noticed a car trailing him inside GRA, where he had visited a friend and he was shocked to see the same vehicle suddenly stop behind him in front of his church.
