Late Prophet Ajanaku’s Wife Calls Out Gospel Singer, Tope Alabi, Over Neglect Since Husband’s Death

Ten years after the death of Prophet Elijah Ajanaku, his wife, Joy Ajanaku, has called out gospel singer, Tope Alabi, for neglecting her since the prophet’s demise.

Prophet Ajanaku, the founder of Christ Revival Victory Chapel International, Ayobo, Ipaja, Lagos State, was Alabi’s spiritual father.

In a recent interview to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the clergyman’s demise, Ajanaku revealed that the gospel singer has failed to offer any condolences or support. She revealed that Alabi was close to her husband for 13 years, so she didn’t expect such an attitude from her.

The late Prophet’s wife also claimed that it was when Alabi met her husband that her fortune changed and she became a global brand, adding that the secret behind Alabi’s sweet voice is between her late husband, the gospel singer and God.

Speaking on the allegation that the late Prophet belonged to the Ogboni cult and that the cult people came to claim his body after his death, Mrs Ajanaku who is now the pastor of the church her husband left behind denied her husband’s involvement in the Ogboni cult. She however recalled that it was the craving for the property of her husband by his family members that stirred up the Ogboni story. On what killed her husband, she said, “My husband must have died of stress. He worked himself to death. He was always excited to see people and would sacrifice his all just to satisfy people. He would not rest. He worked late into the night. If I have the opportunity of advising men of God, I will tell them to rest.”
