From Underdogs to Superstars: Neon Adejo and Spyro’s Surprising Win at the Headies Awards

Gospel singers Neon Adejo and Spyro have been honored at the 2023 Headies Awards. Adejo won “Best Inspirational Single” for his widely received song, “Eze Ebube.”

Adejo edged out heavyweights like Nathaniel Bassey, Victoria Orenze, Limoblaze, and more. The category also includes Victor Thompson & Ehis ‘d’ Great for the song “This Year” and Davido for the song “Stand Strong.”

The worship song “Eze Ebube” is on Adejo’s “Song of Gratitude” EP. It is a strong reminder of how faithful, merciful, and gracious God is.

Taking to social media to share his elation with his followers, Neon Adejo posted a video of himself holding the Headies Award.In his caption, he expressed his appreciation,

Spyro is a famous Nigerian singer whose hits include “Billing,” “Who Is Your Guy,” and more.

His popular hit song “Who Is Your Guy” with Tiwa Savage won him an award for “Best Collaboration.”

When he got up on stage to accept his award, the famous Jesus boy dropped to his knees and started singing worship songs.

The 16th Headies Award ceremony took place in Atlanta, Georgia, on Sunday, September 3rd.
