In life there are challenges and trials, there are many times when you will be alone, at that time what is your strength? what really gave you comfort?
I want you to know that God has a purpose for everything that happens on earth.

Louisa M. R. Stead Experience.

The epic experience of the writer of this hymns, Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus makes us understand that there is time for everything, at a time like this when she lost her husband, and their little child of about 6 years watch the bed of the family drowning in the sea, in the name of helping a young boy who was drowning. Both of them drown and died.

Nobody knew that only the writer and her child will go back home, three of them left home just to have the cool breeze of the sea.
All through the night, weeping couldn’t explain why the father could not follow them back home.
It is through the word of God that she always read. The prayers that gave her the inspiration to write the hymn, Tis So Sweet To Trust In Jesus.

I want you to know that in the journey of life, whether we like it or not, there will be a time when the boat will seem as if it has turn upside down, at a time like this let us depend totally on God. Enjoy listening to the “tis so sweet to trust Jesus hymn” while also reading through it’s lyrics below.

TIS SO SWEET TO TRUST IN JESUS HYMN LYRICS

1 ‘Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus,
and to take him at his word;
just to rest upon his promise,
and to know, “Thus saith the Lord.”

Refrain:
Jesus, Jesus, how I trust him!
How I’ve proved him o’er and o’er!
Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus!
O for grace to trust him more!

2 O how sweet to trust in Jesus,
just to trust his cleansing blood;
and in simple faith to plunge me
neath the healing, cleansing flood!

3 Yes, ’tis sweet to trust in Jesus,
just from sin and self to cease;
just from Jesus simply taking
life and rest, and joy and peace.

Refrain:
Jesus, Jesus, how I trust him!
How I’ve proved him o’er and o’er!
Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus!
O for grace to trust him more!
