The remains of the Senior Pastor of The Fountain of Life Church, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, have been buried in Lagos.
A large gathering of mourners attended the funeral service held at the church’s headquarters on Saturday. Among the dignitaries present were Dolapo, the wife of former vice president Yemi Osinbajo, Pastor Paul Adefarasin, Bishop Stephen Adegbite, and Rev. Sam Adeyemi, among others.
Pastor Odukoya passed away in the United States on August 7, 2023.
Bishop David Abioye of the Living Faith Ministries (Winners Chapel) preached at the event and praised Pastor Odukoya’s accomplishments while also expressing sympathy to the congregation for the cleric’s passing.
He urged the audience to make the most of their time on earth and reminded them that life is about impact. According to him, every man must taste death, but what matters in the end are the legacies people leave behind.
“We have to be sensitive to how we spend our lives because all men shall die,” he said. “The big question to all of us is, how are you living?”
Following the service, Pastor Odukoya was buried in a private ceremony with family and close friends present. Born in Kaduna, North-West Nigeria, Pastor Taiwo is survived by five children, including Nollywood star Jimmy Odukoya.
